    I was photographing Senior Olympics for P&R and I noticed this rather significant leak.

    The fire hydrant on the northwest corner of Howard and Elida has a slow leak. At times it leaks into the street, right now it is not flowing that freely. The hydrant itself is rusting.

    water is bubbling up out of the ground, in the midst of a line of oleanders (behind / north of the back parking lot of The Maids business on Broadway). it then flows north over the curb onto Whitman, and continues to flow for 3 or 4 blocks. note, address was provided by a map system, there is no building with that address. the problem is on the SOUTH side of Whitman.
