It you were a bit more educated, you would know that fatigue cracking ("crocodile cracking) leads to potholes or even worst, cave-ins (sink holes). I suggest for future purposes, you should read a few engineering articles on the subject of asphalt deterioration, decay, and defects before placing statements that lack any bearing on the subject on this resource.
Oh, a Democrat with a big mouth and bigger ego. Since you're such a professional in the asphalt field, get a job with PennDOT. Since all you posted was "series of cracking" you sound like you are complaining about hairline cracks which are a normal occurrance in asphalt, especially a section of roadway that is heavily traveled by vehicles of all sizes. Also, considering that this is a section of roadway that has concrete below it, the substructure is secure enough to hold and not swallow up Lansdowne before the water main upgrade project is finished and the entire roadway is resurfaced. I would hope you have enough education to see the waste in resurfacing the road only to dig it up again to complete the work Aqua is doing. And since you are such an engineering marvel in your own mind, I'm sure you know that piecemealing the resurfacing leaves gaps and seams which ultimately lead to the cracks you are panicking about. If we're lucky, your prognostication will come true and the road will open up and swallow you and all of Lansdowne.
