Line of sight and lack of adequate trail and pedestrian cross walk markings for both trail users and drivers. There needs to be tree and brush clearing for better visibility. Thank you.

Vehicle traffic is not required to stop. This ClickFix request to bring the crossing into compliance with traffic visibility standards was first made in 2019. Though the request has somehow been deleted from this thread, here is the link: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/6703636-trail-sidewalk-issue (cut and paste into your browser). This ticket had important resident commentary.
Now, after another request in March 2022, we have made the leap from a simple solution to an even more confusing situation for vehicles and pedestrians/cyclists.
Per the STOP signs on the trail, trail users are responsible to stop. Cross traffic on Cathcart does not.
Further, a trail user sign solution ("Cross Traffic Does Not Stop"), presented in 2020, was included (and now deleted) on this thread. The City has not responded to this solution one way or another. https://seeclickfix.com/issues/8932042-trail-sidewalk-issue
Traffic visibility standards need to be applied to provide a safe zone for everyone. Here is a link to the standards: http://www.mikeontraffic.com/sight-distance-explained/amp/?fbclid=IwAR39lGcdo1VtwQU9E8Ca1BO6R3LK689USeDx4dfQTXbQGDuI5kIGW1zHfHw
