I had my comment in seeclickfix for over 3 years. Recently our Alderwoman Honda Smith had city engineers come to the park and meet with the neighbors. They plan on reconstructing the park this summer. We ask for a splash pad also. City thought they could not do a splash pad due to no water lines. We informed them that right at the top of the park there is a Water Authority pump station. So we all have our fingers crossed! This City is reconstructing highways and building everywhere. I'm glad to hear there are ideas to overhaul the park. Until that bigger project, it would be nice to fix what is already there. Let's get somebody there with the same truck they used to take the hoops down and put them back up. They've been back up in the other parks for several months.

This city is concentrated on building sky high rent buildings! Connected downtown with the train station. But they always forget about the homeowners that pay taxes and their children have no where to play. That’s how youth end up having nothing to do and eventually end up on the streets hanging around. We have lost to many youth in New Haven due to lack of programs and parks. What happened to Pop Warner baseball etc.
