Ew- yeah I have to agree- this looks terrible- why are they permitted to use this mixed RESIDENTIAL street frontage (look diagonally across the street and south to see the hosues) as the dump for this fetid mess. They never power hose anything and it's really inappropriate to have this disgusting situation facing a MAJOR street. This really ruins the experience along 11th street and can be seen from WASHington Avenue too - nice "gateway" at this important & very busy intersection. Why don't they put it on the inside of the complex? I guess the experience inside the parking lot is much more important for the few patrons that venture there than it is for the thousand or so people who pass by the "dump-hole" on 11th St in the course of a day. This is a major transit route out of South Phllly, and people who stop at the light see (and smell in warmer weather) this mess as they wait for the light to change .
This is INAPPROPRIATE- Dicicco's gone so lets clean this up for the good of the many rather than the usual way these things work- bending over backwards for the ease /comfort/benefit of the developer. (Also the situation in the parking lot where cars use the sidewalk along Washington Avenue as a travel lane for the northern perimeter should be addressed as well.)
