I am writing to urgently address the deplorable road conditions on Railroad Ave and Spring St in Paterson. For over a year, these streets have been riddled with potholes, causing significant inconvenience and damage to vehicles, including mine. As a regular commuter on this route, I am deeply concerned about the lack of action taken to remedy this situation.

The constant presence of potholes poses a serious risk to motorists and pedestrians alike. It is alarming that despite the high traffic volume in this area, no effective measures have been implemented to address this issue. Residents have resorted to placing bins to assist drivers in navigating around the potholes, which is both impractical and unsafe.

I urge the authorities in Paterson to prioritize the repair of these roads without delay. Additionally, considering the recurring nature of this problem, I strongly recommend installing speed bumps to mitigate the formation of potholes in the future.

Railroad Ave and Spring St may not be main thoroughfares, but they are vital residential streets that deserve proper maintenance and attention. I have to drive a mere 10 mph to avoid damaging my vehicle, however it is not a sustainable solution and puts everyone at risk.

Please take immediate action to rectify this situation and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents and commuters in the area.
