hi. our block assoc complains about speeders on new york ave all the time to no avail. If there were trees on New York Ave people would tend to slow down. There are studies all over the world that say this and towns put them in for that reason sometimes. The cops just dont ticket. our district sends them up to Kennedy to ticket speeders, although I dont know why since the county is supposed to handle county roads, especially Kennedy, the worst.

My understanding is that a 4way stop was promised over a year ago, however, nothing has changed. The Accidents continue

Cars speed on New York Ave because they are trying to go faster than in Palisades. This area could make use of some "superblock" arrangement, where cars can not go throu the whole length of the street.
