Ha! Same exact squad car was behind me on Mitchell around the same time this morning. I was about fifth in line at the light; he couldn't be bothered to wait so he sped past all of us in the oncoming lane and took a left onto Willow when the traffic there had the green light and right of way. Nice, officer. Way to perpetuate the stereotype...

Approximate time for me was around 9:15AM.

Disgusting . Inexcusable. I've reported a few cops in New Haven and their filthy ways. Up at Orange / Edwards/Bishop i watched the same cop throw apple cords , he drove around the block and threw McDonalds waste , he drove back around literally documented the garbage that he threw , he called LCI.
Called Public Works , some sick game was being played out (i know the cop's name ,black sargeant)

This must be the reason my taxes just went up to over $11,000, so I can have NHPD litter on my street. This is unacceptable! Mr.Smuts will you please take action???

For Rob Smuts: Approximate time for original posting/incident, around 8:20 am. Glad to see others have noticed similar behavior, perhaps from the same individual. Like I said, maybe just one bad apple - many of the other officers that patrol/go through East Rock are nothing but helpful, considerate, and professional.
