Exactly! So there lies the problem as you just stated.
You and I may not have a problem driving correctly.
I posted this for the innocent people that may be involved in an accident because, 1. they may never have attempted to hang that left turn before and 2. for the drivers that don't necessarily drive correctly!

I totally agree, however I have a different approach to solving it. I think the easiest way to fix this problem is to connect the plaza parking lot to the apartment complex entrance so when you want to leave the Outback area, you can just hit the light for an easy and safe left turn. I often fight the urge to just jump the curb and drive over there...

The problem with the cars trying to make a left on 23 mile road here is that when they cannot get into the 23 mile traffic they block the left turn lane (which allows only about 2 cars to get thru before turning red) for cars going into the apartment and condo project. Let the cars exiting the shopping center make a left hand turn at the next parking lot exit west, closer to the gas station.

I agree with making the exit into the apartment driveway, they didn't need the light there. Just cut the lawn out and let people from the Outback etc... make their left from there. It would be safer.
