The resident sticker requirement should either be enforced or eliminated! On any given night there are 8-12 vehicles illegally parked on Lyon Street (more than 2 hours). These include CT cars without New Haven resident stickers and out of state cars. In addition, cars regularly park illegally at the corner of Lyon and Bradley, often obstructing the fire hydrant.

I stand corrected. I will submit however that several of these same cars do park for hours on Lyon during the day and that there must be better enforcement of the illegal parking at the corners. It is a hazard; makes the turn for emergency vehicles difficult; and is a risk when hydrants are blocked.
It does seem somehwat counterintuitive to require stickers during the day when many are not home anyway. The competition for spaces is after work? Of course it is great for "foot commuters" as we know our cars can be legally parked all day and night.
