Residents on Nature Trail have closed the road to thru traffic. They have put up a barricade to prevent people from driving on the road. There is no county/state sign that states Nature Trail is a private road. This is preventing people from traveling on the road, which most people do on a daily basis to bring their children to school.

Public Works is aware of the situation of blockages on this road. There is a pending lawsuit from Mr. and Mrs. Kent to have the road closed to the public, and our Legal Department has sent a response to the Kents' attorney to have them remove the blockages until the court case is heard (tentatively scheduled for the end of this month.) Because of the pending lawsuit and because the County does not own ROW (right of way) for the road, unless we receive direction from Administration, we at this time have been directed to not remove the blockages.

Citizens that live on Nature Trail have petitioned the court to have this road closed to the public. These citizens temporarily blocked the road but have been told by the court that they cannot
block the road until the case is resolved. These citizens have removed the blockages, but because of the sensitivity of the situation and the pending litigation, Public Works at this time will
not be performing any maintenance work along the entirety of the road, to include roadway issues, drainage issues, or signage issues.
