Downtown trash is the responsibility of the Downtown development Authority. Department of Public Services will be taking care of the parking lot at the movie theater in the next couple days.

The DDA is still catching up on landscape maintenance because of the shutdown. In the past, DPS sprayed for weeds in April but were unable to do so this year because that was non-essential work. Yesterday, the DDA hired a contractor to spray the sidewalks, but I don’t have a start date yet. I will contact our trash contractor immediately and get the downtown trash cans emptied ASAP.
