I hope you get your street light. PLEASE see and vote on my issues concerning the Broad River Road bridge that is past 4 years since it was first started on from Obama's Stimulus #1 money. We had one death when traffic piled up and pushed a car; that car and driver, near the end of the bridge near Skyland Estates, went over the bridge and crashed into the rocks and river below!

Last summer it rained real hard one night while the workers had a crane for a while on a rubber barge where one side was being worked on. If it had not been caught by someone, the way it was tilting and learning towards the bridge, it would have taken it out, traveled down to I-126 bridge and ended doing damage to the other bridges that are where Broad River joins the Saluda River to form the Congaree River.

Our end of the park at Diversion Dam has been shut off at the lower end on the Broad River trail! They have ruined a handicapped ramp that was on the bridge and had a grand opening with Mayor Coble cutting the ribbon at the time. We have a special expensive fish channel that was built for people to have tours with a ranger on weekends to see them in a port hole going down the channel. These are special fish that travel to the Mississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico and come right back! That had to be stopped.

My titles for you to look for say something about the bridge and also the horrible traffic between Broad River at Skyland Estates (Riverhill Circle) and the apartment complexes on Bentley Drive. Only ONE entrance is open to go up hill from below Bentley Drive to travel to the top of thew Hill at the BP Station! No one between the 2 roads can go straight downtown. Traffic builds up at Broad River Road and Greystone Blvd. and acroos the Broad River Road at River Hill Circle at the top of Skyland Estates.

Meanwhile, people from the apartment complexes on Bentley Drive and the subdivision Huffman Heights are trying to get onto Broad River Road by the light at the BP Gas Station having to cross 3 lanes to get onto Greystone Blvd.!!! Some drivers and the Blue Ribbon cab drivers go from Riverhill Ct (Riverhill Circle) behind the Mill Apartments to an alley behind the Asian Restaurant (once was Miss Dee's Dance Studio or Ebony Dance Studio). They drive diagonally going against Broad River Road traffic and gun their cars across 3 or 4 lanes making cab riders extremely frightened! They took months on that bridge by shutting down part of Bentley Drive!

Then it was open for cars and tractor trailers to come right off the bridge at Bentley Drive turning right making all kinds of traffic, noise all night and day, and terrible pot holes!!! That side of River Hill Ct. (River Hill Circle) behind the Mill Apartments has had the road ruined with cracks going across the almost 2 lane road with a blind spot almost hitting cars coming out their back entrance of their apartments not able to see them coming up the hill! The same road has gone down to 1 lane with the side of it coming apart. It has bad bumps from trucks and a pot hole at the bottom that someone had damage to their car with the street sewer drain. The whole area is messed up.

Where does it take over 4 years to build a simple bridge with no street lights and no steel spans going up from the bridge? They are just starting on the other side of the bridge but hard to see much difference.

Then they had shut Bentley Drive down, again, for several months at the Mill Apartments last summer.

Look for my Issues related to the one that is titled "MIA...MISSING IN ACTION BROAD RIVER ROAD BRIDGE". They have shut the park down at times, too, for no reason that leads down to Riverfront Park!
