The mayor and the city council do know illegal dumping is a huge problem in Oakland. It was a topic at this past Thursday's city council meeting. City council members are getting lots of complaints from constituents about it. I'd like to talk about ways to deter illegal dumping instead of endlessly spending increasing amounts of money cleaning it up.
