These properties drive me nuts. I saw some middle aged men looking at blue prints or other type of large papers on the stoop a few months ago and you could see the place full of construction material. My guess is the owners just use it to store their crap.
This property has been sitting vacant like this for years. Months ago, they ripped the back off only to realize that they are in way over their heads. Only a matter of time before the roof collapses. I just hope the top of the side wall does not topple onto the cars parked beneath it.
It's really a shame and there's no excuse for that property to sit like that in this neighborhood. The facade looks to be in decent shape despite years of neglect; cleaning and pointing would make it attractive again. They should either fix it themselves or sell it to someone who will.
The property was just issued building permits and financing has been an issue. The project is starting in phases. There has been a great deal of work securing city tie in for abandoned water and sewer as well as variances. (I can be reached if need be via e-mail at rpalac@verizon.net) I am the owner Bob Palac
Thanks for responding Bob, that's great news. I hope the financing gets resolved soon, I look forward to seeing something finally happen with this building after 16 years.
Giant hole in the sidewalk in front of the house on green Ln. Owner had put plywood over the hole and its rotted through. It looks like someone fell right through.
Now, there is a massive pile of dirt blocking the sidewalk. These guys gave been digging under the foundation and obviously have no idea what they are doing. It is such a mess of a job--completely unprofessional. I am worried that this thing is going to fall down.
This house is on the verge of falling down. Someone is going to get hurt or killed. Now I have been smelling gas around it. God only knows what they were doing to the lines running into the house. They have upgraded from rotting plywood covering the gaping holes to gravel. As evidenced by the state of the "construction site," they obviously have no idea what they are doing. In light of the recent, tragic events with the building collapse in center city, I hope that the city takes action before something terrible happens. Incredibly irresponsible. The owner should be embarrassed.

It has been over three years since the owner of this property posted a comment on this site suggesting that things were in motion with his property.
263 Green Lane and the one next to it (261 Green Lane, apparently he owns that too) are still in states of complete disrepair.
They look awful, and apparently there is nothing anyone can do about it.
