Ursinus students can't seem to get it through their heads that they need to use the 4 crosswalks put in with tax payer money to keep them safe. They just lowered the speed limit because they just dart out into traffic to get to class. Does someone have to die before the school takes action?

Yes, the students do need to use the crosswalks. But all of the blame does NOT rest on them! The drivers also need to stop for students using the crosswalks. I imagine that, when I see so many people keep driving when a student is stepping into the walk, the students wonder what the purpose of the walks are.
Additionally, when it is dark, you cannot see the students who are on the non-school side of the street wanting to use the walks.
Finally, the Septa stop makes it difficult to distinguish someone waiting for a bus from someone waiting to cross.
The students have been entrusted to the community by their parents, and we need to do our part to take care of them!
They need to change, but please do not place the blame solely on them.

little late on tis I am.....BUT I'd rather see the guy singing on the bridge rathar then hit the student that darts out in front of you..in the rain....the installed lights reduced the speed without warning..Now train the 40,000 a year students/adults
Yes i do stop for them in the crosswalk...I have a better chance getting hit the back cause I stopped to fast...then who is at fault here????
