The city of Eastpointe does have laws against this. If you see the problem, please call the police.

I'm aware the laws exist, do you really want the police called everytime we see this? With the cutbacks, will they respond?

The cutbacks were mainly at times when there were far fewer calls (there was an external study that we commissioned). During the time that the kids are leaving from school, the patrols are at the same levels. In terms of availability, dispatch will always give priority to other calls so you never have to worry that you are taking them away from other issues. The Chief has said to call them. What might help is that if it happens the same time each day is to provide that info so that if they can't come one day, they probably could come at least one day.
